Podcast Episode #1: The One About 2017 (So Far)

[very matt damon in we bought a zoo voice] We made a podcast! The first episode (of many) of the Bleeping Sickness podcast is about the games we’ve been playing in 2017 so far, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and the titles we’re most excited about coming up later in the year.  It’s also about finding something nice to say about Mass Effect: Andromeda, arguing about Nier: Automata, and being unsure if “systematise” is a word. Full show notes beneath the jump!

00:01-26:17 We talk about what we’ve been playing so far this year. Pete and Sean have a disagreement about the second Nier game (you can read more of Sean’s thoughts on the game here), Mike isn’t as down on the new Mass Effect as the rest of the world (which isn’t saying much), and Tom is keeping up with the latest releases by playing Mafia III.

26:26-49:51 SPOILER-FREE (after we edited out all the accidental spoilers) Breath of the Wild discussion! Okay, one spoiler: we like it.

50:00-1:12:00 Having decided that The Legend of Zelda is probably the best game of the year, we look at others that might stand a fighting chance of securing the second place, at least. Pete has high hopes for Yakuza Kiwami, Sean is excited for the forthcoming Uncharted DLC, Mike can’t wait for the Crash Bandicoot remasters and Tom thinks Prey looks worth a punt.

(There is also a super secret Episode 0 where Sean, Pete and Mike introduce themselves by running down their top three games OF ALL TIME each which you can find here)
